Unexpected outage

Access to FastMail via http:// was down for about 10 minutes. https:// was still working. Our automatic checking system notified engineers of the problem which has now been fixed. The problem was due to a log file overflow. We have put in place changes to make sure this problem doesn’t occur again

Recent login errors

The session cache on one of the servers filled up causing login problems. This has now been fixed, and we’re now investigating to see why this happened.

System back online

System is now back up and working. Please be patient as mail queue is cleared to deliver queued email

Work has been completed

Machines are now being started up again. Should be back in 5 to 10 minutes.

NYI are ready to go. Am about to take down servers.

Confirmation from NYI that they are nearly ready to proceed. Waiting for final signal that they are ready.

Official downtime to begin shortly

Downtime has been pushed back 15 minutes as I am awaiting on official feedback from NYI on their readiness status to proceed.

Some slowness problems identified

A likely cause for slowness and outages over the last week has been identified. The new hardware installation and some configuration changes should hopefully result in a marked performance improvement over the next week.
