Outage on all servers at Sun 25-Sep-05 06:30AM East Coast Time

There’s going to be a 30 minute outage on all servers at 6:30AM to upgrade some core software components. We’ll keep this blog updated with details.

Update: We’re running about 30 mins late, and are about to take all services down now

Update2: It’s going to run over time (indeed already has) – upgrading the database didn’t go as smoothly as expected. Everything’s fine, but the process will be slower. More like 2 hours.

Update3: All the work has been completed now and all services are running and have been checked thoroughly now. Queued email is being delivered and should all be in shortly

Slow email delivery

For the past 18 hours email delivery may have been delayed for some emails. This was due to two of our incoming email servers going down at the same time. We’re now getting these machines back online and flushing the backlog mail delivery queue. We’ll update this post when the email backlog has been flushed and all email delivered

Update: All servers have been restored and all queued email delivered. No email was bounced or lost. Some people sending to FastMail users may have received “warning” messages, however these can be safely ignored.
