We just rolled out some updates to our IMAP server, and it seems to be causing some delivered messages to have empty subject/from/time details in the web interface. We’re investigating this.

The problem that was causign the blank message subject/from/date details should be fixed now. You might need to logout and login from your web session to get the fixed details.

Both web servers running the login frontpage and the new interface have died at the same time. The machines are being rebooted.

The standard web interface at http://www.fastmail.fm should be back up now.
It appears that two web servers both had kernel panics at about the same time.

Due to some co-ordinated fraudulent signups, a number of emails that were spam were sent via FastMail systems. This caused Hotmail to block FastMail’s servers between about 01:15 and 02:20 EST.
We’ve now locked the offending accounts, put some blocks in place to try and stop this happening again, and switched IPs so that emails are now going through to Hotmail correctly.
